Smell of loofah pads
I gave one of the saucers a through soaking in water, not tea. If I hold it right up to my nose and take a very eep breath I detect a slight odor of rattan. It’s not unpleasant to me. In normal usage I don’t detect any odor.
Some tea shop in HK is selling 3 pads for $40 USD. I can buy a pack of 20, though without stitching, for $7 USD.
I would like to get a couple in 7cm and 10cm, stitched, but haven’t found a good source.
Does anyone know a good source?

Well, I recently read about gourd loofahs, and I can say that such things can be purchased on Amazon at the same time for a good price
I found some that were thick and sewn at https://180andup.com/
I like the stain they get over time but refresh them with some sodium percarbonate.
These are certainly pricier than growing your own but I like the thickness of them and that they are sewn.
Ones I’ve purchased from Amazon were irregular and needed trimming that resulted in thin pads. Cheers!
