meaning is just a construct.

it's up to you to imagine some significance and assign it to life.

"Now and then it's good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy."
Guillaume Apollinaire
The same can be said of life and living. To pause in the pursuit of meaning just to live. The rest is commentary.

Maybe I can help with the related question, "What is the meaning of 'live'?" :)

This is an old-fashioned tea-tasters term. Usually it is described as being the opposite of "flat", meaning a tea is most often lively when it is new rather than old. Liveliness is an essential component of what makes a tea "brisk", although it is not synonymous with briskness. Liveliness is also sometimes associated with "brightness" of a tea.

Confusingly, live is often used as a degree because its opposite, "flat", has degrees. A tea can be "soft", for example -- not quite flat, but getting there. So a soft tea has more liveliness than a flat tea, but less liveliness than tea that is neither flat nor soft.

Or if you are more asking, "What is the point?", Well, "point" is another old-fashioned tea-tasters term. :D Point describes, generally, what the tea is most successful at. A tea has "point" if there is something that it does well, without describing in detail what that thing is. This is in contrast to a tea that does everything well, which also has point but was instead called a "self-drinker", or a tea that does nothing well but isn't unpleasant, which is said to be a tea that "lacks point" without using more unfavorable terms like "dull", "stewed", etc. (A tea with many points but not quite a self-drinker would be an "attractive" tea.) Tea with point would usually be combined with other teas with different but compatible points, to form a blend that had the same merits as a self-drinking tea, but with more consistency from year to year and for a lower price. In this role even a tea that lacks "point" has a point, namely to be the base tea over which these other teas are blended.

Ethan Kurland thank you for creating this thread, and thank you admin for allowing it. I hope this discussion might prove to be constructive and profitable for those involved.

"what's the meaning of life?" as originally posed by Bok the tea vendor on Friday, April 16, 2021.

The meaning of life is to love God with one's entire being.

Laniakea said- I am a galactic supercluster comprising about 100,000 galaxies. That red dot you see is the Milky Way which includes 200 to 400 billion stars including our Sun.

What is the meaning of life?

We don’t know, so everyone is free to make up theirs (as long as it doesn’t infringe on other beings personal freedom).

These aren't answers. There is no answer. This was just a parlor game.

I'm somewhat disappointed that the question hasn't been taken seriously.

The OP may have been insincere but gave no hint of it.

Here is what he said: "So, I am asking you to give me a straight & simple answer to the question: What is the meaning of life?"
