question regarding stove

I recently bought a nanfeng stove from chawang tea (the $18 one), and noticed that it has a very soft grey clay inside the stove. It rubs off a little bit of that clay every time I put the kettle on it. Eventually there'll be a day where enough material is missing to where it will be unusable. What do I do sirs? :|

i see what you mean

i think the low cost of the stove really limits the options that make sense

what kind of kettle are you using? what material?

i would look around for scraps of heat-resistant material and reinforce the stove. cover that soft "fire-resistant mud" with something harder to prevent wear. get creative.
pieces of tile, brick, sheet metal, silverware, wire, etc

I think a good option could be some sort of metal-frame-mesh.

Those stoves cost as low as 4$ on taobao, quick and dirty with the cheapest clay and firing possible. Can not really expect much of them…

They have tuition pots, I guess tuition stoves too. I bought a clay kettle with it, 500ml. I'll have to try it out next week, hope I don't crack anything. I have metal workshop, I'll think of something. Thank you sirs

Fill it with a some kind of cement or concrete paste? Perhaps even some clay mix.
It seems that the inside layer is there to protect the outer shell from the heat.

I like that idea, cement would definitely work while being practical too
