I have purchased a teapot from https://www.sazentea.com

Their customer service, response time, & shipping time is excellent! Plus I feel their prices are very fair for their teaware.

I've gotten a lot of fine pieces from Magokorodo's eBay store, wares by Yamane Seigan, Yoshi 3rd Toichi (Kazuwa-ware), Toshiyuki Suzuki, Tetsuaki Nakao, and others.

Another vendor I have ordered pieces from sells used pieces from estate sales: I discovered Koedo on etsy.

Thanks for posting about those sellers @debunix! I did not know about them.

tokoname.or.jp also has an eBay storefront that is regularly updated. I’ve ordered 2 pots from their eBay store. They shipped next day and were very well packed.

Thanks to everyone for these postings, and thank you, @Victoria for starting the thread. There were a few vendors I didn't yet know about. I purchased my first kyusu from https://www.hibiki-an.com/. I followed up with a purchase of porcelain cups, a sami scooping spoon, and a yuzamashi. The service is great. The owner ships quickly and has always been responsive to my questions.

Forgot one

Katsuragi on Ebay, a seller of vintage & antique teawares.

I got this lovely piece from that shop:

It's remarkably delicate with very thin walls, and yet feels sturdy. Oilspot glaze and nuka trim on the rim. It's a fine chawan for matcha or bowl for berries in summer.

Over the past year or so, I've bought two teapots online from Shiha Tea & Comfort (https://shihateacomfort.shop). Both times I had a very good experience and was very happy with the products I bought and the service/process. Price point and set of featured artists are similar to e.g. Artistic Nippon, I'd say, although Shiha's total number of items is smaller.

They are a small brick-and-mortar shop in Tokyo. From what I saw over the last year, they have invested a lot of effort into opening their online business to overseas customers and making the buying process easier (shopping cart, etc.). In both instances I bought from them, I had a few brief email exchanges. I got quick and friendly responses, and they were very accommodating with my requests.

I have a lot of Japanese ceramics (and teaware) vendors saved. I will share a few. These ones are more on the accessible side and I think they suit the tastes of this forum.

Inbeya - All bizenyaki. Site is in English.
https://inbeya.com/englishindex.html

Bizenyaki kibido - all bizenyaki. All in english. This site is linked on the wikipedia page for Bizen.
https://www.bizenyakikibido.com/index.p ... ry&path=61

Sou - Everything, literally everything. They have an ebay but this is their main site. In English.
https://www.net-qp.com/en/

Shoindo - Teaware and other things. Japanese website only. I include them because they will ship abroad, also this is a famous store. It is on one of the famous roads in Kyoto. I actually visited Kyoto and wandered in by accident and was really confused why all the stuff looked so familiar!
https://www.rakuten.ne.jp/gold/shoindo/

Tablin store - Very helpful and friendly. Sells teaware and knives and other things.
https://www.tablinstore.info/

Japan Pottery Net - As the website name says, they sell japanese pottery. I think it looks slightly marked up but nothing crazy.
https://www.japanpotterynet.com/en/

Naganawa - website in Japanese only but they will ship to USA if you email them. Notable for all the iga yaki, bizen yaki, and other earthy styles.
http://www.naganawa.jp/

Enjoy.

Quite a bonanza of recommndations!

It's good that I am fortified aganst their siren call by a recent purchase from AN.....so I can more safely browse and bookmark for pleasant daydreaming, and purchase less on impulse than by waiting for something to speak to me over time.

After going through pretty much all the sites mentioned here, I purchased a pot from Tokonamejp. Thanks especially for the tip to ask via e-mail! The kyusu of my dreams was marked sold in the site, but it turned out that it was actually available :D

Another site to possibly add to this list: https://hagiyakiya.com/en/ I have purchased some items from there and it has been great service and they have lots of great choices for all kinds of teaware (although not many kyusus).
