It's the simple things. My cup arrived yesterday. I am a happy man.
My new Arita-yaki teacup from O-cha.com
Thank you. For starters I picked up a 100gm bag of organic sae midori asamuchi. At first I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. I though it tasted too grassy (almost reminiscent of wheat grass), and had no astringency at all. But the second and third time I tried I really appreciated it. I think I was just surprised at first because it tasted different than other green teas I've had before, but I do like it.
I would also like to try some of their gyokuro.
It really does. When I first opened the box, I thought the cup was huge (more like a bowl than a cup), but once I tried it I loved it. It does feel very comfortable in my hands, and I like the way the tea looks inside the cup. I hope I don't start losing sleep at night because I can't wait to wake up in the morning and have my next cup of tea.
