How to use Winter Chawan?

I was reading about chawans and came across the Tsutsu-jawan. How is this used? Do you whisk in the chawan itself or in a separate bowl and then pour in? It seems like it would be hard to whisk in such a tall narrow Chawan.

Thanks,

Kent

Interesting shape. I found a video link where, about 6-7 minutes in, he whisks the usual way but with a shorter stroke.

I would probably spin the chasen between my palms--I sometimes do this anyway, regardless of chawan shape, between bouts of side-to-side whisking. But I am in no way a student of the tea ceremony, just someone who now enjoys the occasional matcha.

Thanks for the video. That helps a lot. :) I guess I was imagining a narrower, taller vessel.
