Hi everyone!
My name is Eddie and I live in Hamburg, Germany.
I don't have much experience with tea yet, but at least a little. I have mainly been a coffee drinker for most of my life (and still am), but in 2021 I began getting interested in tea as well. Pretty quickly I sampled many different types of tea to get a feel for what I like most and settled mainly with Sheng Pu-Erh and different types of Oolong. I also was able to gather a couple of nice little teapots and gaiwans for Gong Fu brewing.
Last year, I somehow took a "pause" from tea drinking, but for a couple of weeks now I'm super excited once again and drink tea daily.
Other hobbies of mine are wine, cooking and pipe smoking.
I'm looking forward to interesting conversation as well as lots of information and knowledge here, since many of you have much more experience than I do.
Best wishes from Hamburg,
Eddie

Hello, tea friends.

I started drinking tea when I was four years old, so I have been drinking tea for 26 years. Most of my family members are teapot craftsmen, and there is a tradition of drinking tea in my family, so I have been used to drinking tea since I was a child.
What kind of tea do you drink?
Yixing red (black) tea is my favorite.
How do you prepare your tea?
I use a variety of tea sets for a variety of teas, but usually each teapot is used for only one type of tea.
What tea knowledge are you interested in exploring right now?
I am exploring the combination of tea and fresh herbs, such as osman thus. I have an Osman thus tree near my home.
What factors lead you to delve into the world of tea, and what is keeping you there?
I like Yixing black tea best, because it is the taste of hometown.
What is your location?
I am located in Yixing city, China.

Hello everyone!
I've been drinking tea for most of my life, but only recently had exposure to good tea (better than random CTC, that is; England is far from the best place for tea drinkers). I'm currently exploring European unglazed teaware. I typically drink yancha or heicha, in a 100ml teapot. Tea is a subject matter with endless depth which has kept me interested for two years now, and hopefully many more.

Hi everyone, my name is George from Canada and I'm representing TeaSential on this account. I've drank tea for the past 20 years, ever since my grandfather introduced them to me. I drink mostly greens and reds, but have been getting more into whites and puer. I prepare them the simple and straight forward way of steeping and pouring, no other additives or tricks. Tea is my favourite drink for their tastiness and healthiness, a combination that is uncommon. I look forward to celebrating our common passion of tea together with you all.

Hello everyone,
This is Dan in Massachusetts. I have been drinking tea since I was a kid, but until a few months ago, it was only tea bags. I have just recently found out about the amazing experience of drinking high quality loose leaf teas gong fu style. I love all kinds of tea, but raw puer is my favorite (at least currently). I am a biology major and a physics teacher, and I am very interested in the science of tea.

Hello everyone!
I’m Alessandra from Pu’Er Tea Society.
I’m based in Milan, but my passion for tea has taken me on a journey spanning nearly 30 years. Together with my husband, I’ve explored the rich tea cultures of Japan, China, and Taiwan, deepening my knowledge of tea ancient art and culture. But for the past 20 years, I've been in love with Pu’Er tea.
I’ve dedicated myself to studying the famous and less famous tea-growing regions of Yunnan with their wild ancient trees and forests. I’ve learned the methods behind Pu’Er tea production and had the privilege of meeting passionate tea farmers.
In 2021, I turned this passion into a mission—selecting and sharing exceptional, handcrafted Pu’Er teas from few selected and dedicated producers.
We chose the name Society because we’re not just about selling tea. We’re here to build a community, to spread the soul of Pu’Er tea, and to share its magic with fellow tea lovers around the world.
We are happy to be part of this community and you are welcome to visit our website https://puerteasociety.com/en/ or write to us hello@puerteasociety.com
