Hello everyone,

in Chawangshop there are 2 of my interest, but
I do not know what I would be left with if 65 or 110ml.
maybe with 110 tea leaves open better
and with 65 I'm not so sure, this is my dilemma.
I'm very happy with 45 for puher and also with
my 50ml gaiwan for oolong;
I'm curious about a teapot-oolong.

Another option that I like is "Crimson Lotus Tea"
"Jianshui Zitao Clay Teapot Shui Ping Style - Red - 70-80ml :: FREE SHIPPING"
https://crimsonlotustea.com/collections ... e-shipping
I would like you to give me your opinion
A member of the forum has advised me to ask this question in particular to Pedant or Steanz

Good weekend and pleasant flavors ;)

Those shuiping yixing pots look nice. Regarding size for yixing shuiping I prefer 80ml, 100ml, 120ml... I know others prefer smaller 40-70ml.
I recommend you ask HY Chen as he has several yixing for sale right now. He is working on a web site, but for now just uses FaceBook and Messenger, he uses paypal, and email too- this is his paypal email:

In the end you will probably get several different size yixing pots over the years, so Patience and Research are a good thing with these collector items. No need to rush. p.s. that pot you link to is modern and I wouldn't buy since one can get F1 yixing for just a bit more.

p.s. Essence of Tea also has authentic yixing pots.

What kind of oolong? If it's for taiwnese gaoshan oolong or dancong I would stick with a porcelain gaiwan, unless you can find a 70s or earlier hongni. Those pots you linked will subtract too much from the aroma.

For yancha, different people have different preferences on clay. If it's for one person, 110ml is too big for yancha, 65 ml is about right.

As you can see lac63 many opinions on this topic. Maybe we could have linked to your previous question also.

i think it's something you have to discover for yourself. depends on the kind of tea you brew, how you like brewing it.. your personal taste

and it might be worth making a WTB (wanting to buy) thread in Tea Swap if you're having trouble finding something specific like a green-sticker F1 yixing or something. you never know, maybe someone will sell you something.

I see that you have the same chawangshop teapot in different size? The larger size should brew tea the same. Size is your choice. You can experiment to find your favorite. I like 110ml or 150ml for 1 person.

I have a 110ml teapot that is the same as chawangshop teapot. I could be wrong, but looks identical and also from 1990's. In my opinion it takes away some aroma and flavor. I would use for shou pu erh or aged sheng pu erh with more humid storage.

You can indicate where you bought
your 110 teapot?

Thank you

It was a random ebay purchase. So can't recommend a seller.

What do you all think, does it look the same?

I think so, although the light is different,
also the objective or mobile camera,
and the photographic processing.

Very cool :)
