This part of the forum feels neglected compared to the Yixing side.
Here's a 'new' little friend of mine from Chaozhou, alone and next to my 'huge' 90mL Chaozhou pot, which has seen plenty of use and has gotten a very nice shine.
The colours look a little off on my screen, though; in real life, the little pot's colour actually looks more like the big pot's colour, and the big pot is a deeper red... But unlike the big pot, this time I've remembered to take a 'before' photo of the little one. Perhaps I'll post an 'after' photo after a few months to see how shiny it gets.

Not the right light for true colour at night, so here is a black and white shot instead.
Shantou can be so beautiful and elegant, has its own particular charm and remains a guilty pleasure of mine.

Nice... curvy and elegant. And a nice shape for things like yancha and dancong.
My little pot has gotten nice and shiny already.
I've had great experiences with my two CZ pots, and I'm keen to learn more, but I assume that there's no easy way to learn about them without having them in your hand, even more so than with Yixing.

Life has been a bit tough lately and I haven’t been able to enjoy tea as much as I used too. Starting to get back into the swing of things with the KZ design Kangii teapot. Beautiful piece, awesome pour and plays very nice with the sweet scent dong ding from Tillerman.

@Darbotek Such a lovely pot. I've been kind of glad they sold out so fast, it relieved my temptation (for the moment).

Well if you happen to have a chance at one, snag it. My initial impressions are very favorable. I am waiting for some Dan Cong from Bitterleaf, so all I have right now is the Tillerman Dong Ding. So I’m interested to see how it fares with other teas.
Kangiiten drops are very harmful. I’m an incense hype beast.

Nice pot! But what's the box in the background?

A wood chip heater with some aloeswood and sandalwood chips.

That potter makes some nice things. I found the clay quite similar to vintage/old Shantou ware. This one in particular is a tad large for my taste. The bulbous shape would work a bit better were it 10-20ml smaller, but that's me.

My most used pot is in the 100-110ml range, so I would have liked this one to be a hair smaller as well. But it performs wonderfully so I won’t complain too much.

No idea where to put this, but it appears to be wheel thrown. Reduction fired? Or just dyed, uncertain. Another thrift store find.

It’s an Yixing of low quality. Seal looks like it wants to imitate something else.
