With all this renewed interest in CZ teaware, why not add sticky topic as we do have for Yixing?

Post your Chaozhou/Chaoshan/Shantou Teaware here! (Will add mine in a bit)

I had posted this before, here again for the sake of collecting it in one place.

Will take a pic of my CZ kettle later.

This one is a modern pot without any additional glazing in authentic, CZ clay.

Nice one Octo!

From the shiny back to the coarse: my CZ kettle. Clay colour is almost identical to my other pot, lighting was a bit different.

Haven’t really used it yet, not the right circumstances for charcoal, waiting for the right opportunity.

What I love in particular is the way the lid know is just a bit of clay almost haphazardly stuck to the lid, you can see the artisans fingerprint. Might seem random and sloppy, but this kind of routine comes from doing 100s and 1000s of pots! Respect!

Just got this: I call it ugly duckling, a pretty banged up little pot from 80-90s, according to people who know more than me about these kind of pots.

Workmanship is nice, yet a little quirk- no airhole in the lid! Luckily, I have a habit of lifting the lid when pouring...

Some more details. I usually do not go for ornamented pots, but this one is cute!

Will need some cleaning before I put it to use. Will report if it is porous, hahaha

Afraid, I am going to answer this question next year! Pot and me are now separated by a long distance...

@Bok , since joining this forum last week, I have one burning question: How many pots do you actually have?

Actually, I think I am one the more moderate immoderates... haha
Others have been a bad influence - you know who you are!

I had quite a good teapot year one might say, I do however not have a recent count, sold a few, bought a few. Really not as many as it may seem, just in a period of streamlining, perfecting, getting rid of the unused and ticking off the wish list items.

It is an addictive journey, especially once you come across really good, tea changing clays... I take pride in using all my pots frequently. Nothing more useless and sad as an unused teapot!

@swordofmytriumph : you will soon understand why the question (and the answer as well) are of empty of deep meaning ;)

Lol, I seem to already be getting there. I was salivating over some of Hojo's pots yesterday.
