Here is the link to the old Mandarin's Tea blog:

Scroll down to see individual photos of the Muo Lvni Shui Ping teapot as well as a 'group shot' of similar teapots.

edited for crummy spelling

Was considering a yixing that popped up on classifieds here in portugal, after seeing a thread on teachat with 2 versions of that type of pot I was both convinced it was fake and real

Can someone tell me if its an obvious fake? Though I understand if you dont want to, one thing is appraising an item that I already have other is looking at possible purchases, the second case can be an endless endeavour.

Pot in question

Real ones

The knob seems like a dead giveaway if you look at the one on the right, but not so much if you look to the left one

Clay and craftsmanship look suspect. Details are poorly done and don’t look right.

Thank you for your input, guess I'll save my money then, was a bit confused due to the large variation between the 2 in the tc post, the clay does in fact look off but I thought it could be perhaps the photo, my own 90s zini shows up in a range of colours in my crappy camera.
If it was way cheaper id consider it as tuition but like this its definitely not a worthwhile gamble.

Always learning :)
