Now I know Bok doesn't like rice grain cups, but I am fond of them and got these antique ones. Anyone know how old they are?

Those are nice. :) Maybe ROC (just a wild guess)?

Could be, or maybe late Qing? Hoping someone can give me a definite answer :)

There is a dedicated forum for Chinese porcelain where you will have a lot of experts for verification. Need to dig out the link. They helped me quite well with my antique market finds!

It's really hard sometimes to try to establish whether something is late Qing or ROC, since there's really not that much difference in type of porcelain that was being produced. Unless we are talking about late ROC period or during WW2. So I would just label these as somewhere around 1920-30s or so? The blue is the standard purplelish blue that you would find during that period. The cavetto is interesting. One is a lotus leaf, while the other one I think are sprigs. Both are elements not usually found in more recent versions of rice grain cups.

I feel like the one with the scroll on the bottom is more interesting than the one with the leaves. Perhaps I haven't seen enough rice grain pattern porcelain, but that seems a little bit rarer. The jiangxi zhenpin marked cup is probably most definitely ROC for sure, since a quick search on e.g. Baidu doesn't seem to show up any pieces earlier then ROC. Not sure about the other cup because the mark on the bottom isn't clear enough for me to read.

Are you talking about http://discussion.chinese-antique-porce ... ?board=1.0 that I told you about a while back? I like browsing that site everyday because after awhile of looking at tons of porcelain, you just start getting a sense of what are obvious fakes.
