Safe to use?

A friend gave me this teapot. I want to use it in my office because teawares are prone to break there. It doesn't look like real yixing to me, but no off smells when heated. Do you think it's safe to use?

I'd use a porcelain gaiwan instead.

Yes, that's what I've been using. To me this looks like some kind of clay with coloring and tool marks inside for show. Slipcast perhaps or mold made. How do you think it was made?
