In any case I’d take my good time with these pots before you sell them(if at all). Looks like a decent collection and individually all look at least to be worth 100+ bucks.

All in good condition and mostly green label-90s period.

$100 bucks today will cost $200 bucks to buy it back in a few years. Totally agree with @Bok if you have space, take your time. Now a day, people started to collect porcelains produced in the 1950s-1970s. Maybe one day, the factory one pots will have some collection value.

Not to mention sentimental value, it’s your dad’s collection after all. Take it slow and when you have a clearer picture of what is what you can still clear some out.

None of these are gonna loose any value, as DailyTX said, once gone, getting them back will cost you more for sure.

This "pigeon beak" pot looks to me like a Factory 2 production from the 80s

Thank you everyone @@Bok @DailyTX .m. baiso for taking the time to look at my pics.
Am really happy to hear that i have not save these pots in vain. Collecting them was definitely a big thing for my dad and they are of sentimental value, however i do need to find homes for some as i think he went overboard with it.. i have big pots strange pots that (i should be posting in the dog, frog, handbag, fruit thread   ).

I've lugged these pots around hoarding for the wrong reasons. Moving ahead i definitely would like to simplify and have a more manageable collection that i can enjoy the pots with tea and learning more. So if anyone is interested in any at all, feel free to msg me for more pics and meaurements.

I'll start posting some other types of pots with different stamps, hopefully be able to sort them into some groups that makes some sense to me! Thank you so much again for your words.

Is there a website that scans maker stamps or somewhere where i could try to reference? Ive learnt that i suppose if they are famous maker stamps that i could match they are probably repros and fakes and too good to be true, how does one sell a repro? or one cant?

08. Green blue? I read that we shouldn't drink from these?

If you don't know how to price them, then just price all between 100-200$ and see if anyone would buy it. Unless they are slipcast I may not price them under 100$. Eventhough they might not worth what you ask for it.

You can also put up ebay actions and see how the bids would go.

Tell as in how? I wouldn’t focus too much on that part, it’s the least important for authentication of teapots.

The last two do look pretty decent, replication of much earlier styles. Those would def be more towards the 200$ mark. 9 looks like a nice clay and shape is not too bad either.

Thanks @Youzi! I hardly know where to sell them, thought of ebay but thought it would be hard to reach buyers as a new seller with little knowledge. Maybe Im wrong?

Thanks @Bok! I could hug you haha. Mom would def be happy. How do i categorise the blue one? Under decorative pots around less than 50?

Regarding calligraphy I read somewhere where some folks mentioned style of carvings to certain age.. Wondering if I shoukd be studying that.

@teamakers.art I think at this point you can stop to worry about your dads pots being fake or of bad quality… :) I don’t think I’d part with any of your pots so far under 100, mostly more. Even that blue pot is not too bad, not my taste but it’s a legit pot and example of a certain era.

11. looks like green label or thereabouts. That can def get you more than 200…

Most of what your dad bought seems to have been purchased in the 80-90s.

At this rate I wouldn’t be surprised if there really were some gems among them. So again please take your time! Would hate to see you throw away something nice by accident.

Can't say how happy I am to hear your words @Bok! I do need to start selling some though, it's looking like a crazy house. Maybe you can suggest some to start with.. I have a There a few more of these that I'm unsure of then goes the stamps that I cant read and the bigger calligraphy and funky looking pots...
