HI, I've been looking for a type of tea cup for quite a while now; maybe someone can help me find a vendor or shop selling something similar? (Picture is attached)

Let me give a short explanation: I bought this cup from Palais Des The a while ago, but they don't really carry it anymore, and I would rather not buy from them anyway...

Anyway, the cup broke, and I'm looking for something similar: a clay (not porcelain) cup, glazed white on the inside, and big enough to fit comfortably in the hand (about 100ml)... If you know a vendor or website selling tea cups styled this way, please let me know :-).

Thanks a lot :D

Something like this? http://www.dragonteahouse.biz/yixing-cl ... l-3-04-oz/

Now that I've answered the OP, may I ask why you are looking for this particular type of cup? In my experience, if you want a cup around 100ml of roughly that shape, there are a variety of artisan made guinomis that are aesthetically more interesting, even for quite reasonable prices. For example this: https://www.etsy.com/listing/568915535/ ... gallery_43 Typically the point of yixing is that it interacts with the tea, and a glazed yixing does not make too much sense. Plus, usually the clay on these yixing cups is very low quality or often not even from yixing.

You make a good point (even two), so let me explain why I'm searching for this cup model specifically.

First, simply because I like it's shape, proportions and simplicity... It's not fancy, yet not ugly (IMHO 😅), it's not tiny like many tea cups of this style, and I can clearly see the color of the tea I'm drinking due to it's glazed interior.

Secondly, for sentimental reasons. This cup was the first piece of teaware I ever bought, and it was at that moment that I knew that tea was going to stick with me for a long long time.. :-)

I know there are plenty other much better tea cups out there, which would better suit a tea connoisseur, but I just want to re-experience enjoying something simple and personal.

BTW, thanks for the help 😀

Thanks for sharing! Often the best teaware is the one with which we have some kind of personal connection

Pretty sure I've seen some like that on AliExpress. Of course, actually finding anything there can be... time consuming.
