A new 160ml pot that's likely early 60's. I haven't started using it yet since I'm working on raising an early 70's 160ml first. 60's looks slightly flatter than 70's.

Pretty excited about this new pot. It's an early 80's jade orchid six sided pot made with heixingtu/black star clay. It's prob around 150ml. Really nicely made but shape seems a bit awkward so not sure what teas will work. Anyone have suggestions for what might work with it?

I use mine as a tea pitcher... you won’t face any issues or problems with clogged leaves. Tiny broken bits might get lodged at the edges at the base too.

Is this pot not single hole filter? I just assumed it was but didn't poke around to find out.

I'll prob get a small angular brush for those hard to reach spots so I don't end up with crusty old leaf build up.

Pots from this period are pretty high on my collection wish list. I need to add a couple in the 80-120ml range eventually.

I sorta want to get two more160ml hong ni from green-white period. I'd prob rarely ever use them but it would be cool to have one from each period to compare.

Up to 200 is still ok for one or two people. I used to use 150 a lot, too thirsty!
Better though for rolled oolongs which take up quite some space once fully expanded, thus reducing the amount which finally ends in the cup quite a bit!

150ml gives me hardly enough for 4 people, with standard sized Chinese teacups.

No new line of tea parties.

It's mostly just blind luck that I've come across so many large pots lately. At this point I prob have far too many in the 120-220ml range.

Spend some money on a plane ticket and come to Asia, the money you save on buying one here will probably set off some of the ticket's cost
Not to forget tea leaves.

Do not think they can be found easily outside of Asia and without paying a hefty premium. Unless you are as lucky as Mr. Chadrinkchat

That's a very good justification for taking a vacation in Asia.

The stories will come, work in progress

Yesterday I fed old 60 grandpa a variety of teas to quench his thirst
Lishan, medium roast Dongding and to finish some aged roasted Lishan. Too early for conclusions, slowly waking it up to find its place.
