A last pic of the set and three new teapots I have bought for very little money. The one on the left arrived damaged as you can see on the picture. :(

Here are the pictures of the set as promised :) Hopefully, they are detailed enough. I took them with my smartphone.
The set looks the same as mine :)

Hello,
What do you think please? Real yixing or not? Merchant says it is fully handmade and because of chip it is just for 160 dollars but it sounds too good to be true

I think i recognize this pot :) Should be a modern hongni. Is it this one, made by Fan Lao Shi?

160$ is a reasonable price for modern yixing pot.

@Simniak

Some of the teapots this seller has to offer are very nice. I cannot tell you more about this pot, but the seller seems reliable to me. I am no expert though.

Nice find! Looks like it is same one. Original price is likely around $250 base on other pots by potter.

Yeah, seems to be the same style and craftsman. The seller from Simniak's teapot also claims that it was made by Fan Lao Shi. I personally stopped buying damaged pots, because I do not like the look of something damaged, and it would be too expensive to repair. It seems like a nice pot though. ;)

Yes, it is by Lao Shi. I personally like this teapot from this merchant more, but 400 dollars is too much for me

Yes, 400 for that. Is that too much?
Can I spare some more of your time? I have this teapot for around a year from eBay but I am not sure if it is yixing or not. There are no lines inside nor signature. What do you think?

Yeah, some prices are a bit steep from this seller. You could look for a pot on this site: https://essenceoftea.com/collections/yixing-teapots

@Chadrinkincat had also some inexpensive but nice pots for sale on eBay. Unfortunately, most of them are already sold by now as it seems. His username on eBay is chadrink-37

$400 is steep for that pot imho. I believe his pricing is usually lower if you buy it directly from him rather than through eBay. Of his pots this heixingtu would be my pick because clay is nice and it’s a less common design. Slow pour but depending on tea that might not be an issue.

Yup all of them are sold already. I need to comb through my collection some more because I still have far too many pots that I should get rid of.
