Picked up these two a little bit ago! Anybody got any information on what "C.C.T." is or what the numbers/writing on the bottom means?

No strong idea really, but it could be one of these "custom order" pots - either a genuine or a fake - often commissioned by a Hong Kong or Taiwanese company. E.g. you had pots commissioned by the Hong Kong "big four" (香港四大) and others, especially from the late 70s and onwards.* CCT大城 could refer to the HK company CCT Fortis Holdings (established in 1984).

The above is pure speculation (hopefully someone more knowledgeable can chime in with more useful details), but the inscription on the bottom of the pot does refer to the 丁丑年 of 1997 (unless you'd believe it refers to 1937  )

* (Note that "custom order pots" are kind of like "custom order puer", an easy way to pass off anything as anything, because who knows really. Lots of questionable 90s stuff in both groups.)

Interesting pot, looks like Yixing yet not sure. What type of tea have you explored with this new friend?

Good eye haha, it’s because that pot is from a different generation of Yixing ; )

It's been enjoying some roasted baozhong this morning. I might try some lighter styles of tea, then some darker ones, and see what it likes best.

It's a very 'rough' clay, consistent with the rough workmanship, but very interesting; lots of character.

Interesting clay @Andrew S - suits the atmosphere I sense from your photos!

On an unrelated note, should I chance across Zisha Art Gallery when I am in SG next week and accidentally walk in and see something that catches my eye, can I trust their valuations to be accurate and fairly priced given the mall location context? I've seen ZAG mentioned a few times here and just wanted to ask if there is anything I need to consider when dealing with them.

Consider bringing more money.

I have less information and other references for one of my teapots. Maybe someone can show me other examples or links of this F1 shape with 500ml. Thanks!

It doesn’t look like Yixing. Here is a link with info on the chop and the history. You may need to use Google to translate the text. It seems to be Taiwanese pot assuming it’s from the same studio:

The F1 plum trunk pot arrived safe! It's interesting to compare and contrast with the other plum trunk pot I have.
Nice! The one in the back looks LQER if I am not mistaken.
