I came into TF not knowing what all this teaware was about and then I dived head first. Drowning, then learned to swim and now learning mandarin. What gives?! :D I'm deep in the hole with the rest of you now.
Not yet, you are still in clear water, we're down at the bottom stuck in the muck.
Truth be told! @OCTO & @Bok paint a beautiful picture with their beautiful teaware. It’s a murky, mucky situation down there. They are just looking for company, mostly @OCTO. He’s stoned to the bone, too far gone. @Bok would appear to have his bearings about him, but who knows. 2 + 2 = 5 these days. At least there is some cool tea/teaware at the bottom. Not too sure about the crew, questionable at best 😂

Let the good times roll, and the tea flow!

klepto nice one! I thought it might have been you who snatched up that one! I’d divert from your usual Puerh and give roasted or aged Oolong a try :) old Zini works wonders with these...
klepto I highly recommend this pairing as well. It wasn’t my initial move, but I came to the conclusion after all, golden.

Don’t discount YanCha too.... 😁😁😁

Most of my small sized ZiNi are pretty much dedicated to YanCha and Aged DanCong.... don’t worry abt the pot being too big, it’s a bonus!! 🥳🥳🥳

Cheers!!
Go big! Big is good. Potent sessions. To the face, and toe up!! 🥴 🙃

And I slowly go insane
I hear your voice on the line
But it doesn't stop the pain

If I see you next to never
How can we say forever

Wherever you go
Whatever you do
I will be right here waiting for you
Whatever it takes
Or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you”

It's not entirely muck...... hahahaha...... My bones are infused with BaiNi to the core... hahahaha... We have mansions built of ZiNi, red HongNi roof tiles from Factory 4 (I think), ornate furnitures coated in bright and pale yellow DuanNi. Nature sings with trees coloured in QingShuiNi and leaves of green LuNi.

Good times are rolling, tea is flowing!!!.... :D :D :D :D :D

Cheers!!!

So if inner seam is faked, then this is possibly slip cast since no obvious tool marks?

Also that example of the old pot also looks very iron rich
Can be, or half-handmade. in any case mass produced.

Look closer, the old pot's clay is quite different ;)
The modern one almost looks like plastic

How is the lid fit and pour of your pot?

Pretty sure it’s loose… JLZ does always have loose lids. Inherent with this design and the period.

@Bok
Interesting input. I grabbed the 1st JLZ with craving from TWL, and I am not sure if I want to keep it due to loose lid fit and weak pour strength. I have other style JLZ pots that I think I enjoy more. :)

It is rather rare for JLZ to have a slow pour, most are lightning fast (6s on average) due to the straight short spouts and rather large openings. That three-hole I suspect to be on the slow side though. But they are considered commoner pots, so some have average workmanship which might affect alignments and ultimately, pour speed.

Mine is a single hole, the hole can use a bit sanding to widen the opening. The alignment is good, wall is on the thinner side, and the size is bigger

The lid is loose, and if I pour too much water in the pot tea leaks out of the top of the lid. Jinkies!!
It passed my water taste test and the Tie Lou Han was amazeballs!!
