Hey teaforum community, wondering what everyone thinks of this pot i just got. It didn't cost much so please share what you think freely. Wondering if it's a legit old pot (LQER) or a later replica.

Usually, if it didn’t cost much, that is the first warning sign. This one I am pretty confident to be fake.
Thank you bok, i was skeptical when it arrived, i couldn't place why. I've been asking around to see what people think.
Taiwan vendor ke08008811 on eBay? It’s 110% fake

@Teachronicles

All of their pots are 90’s or newer. Some of their pots actually look like decent replicas. I’m always hoping they’ll list a thin walled/baotai 80-90ml julunzhu but hasn’t happened yet.

I brewed up some tea in the pot, and it was quite nice, so at the least its a pot that doesn't negatively affect tea brewed in it and i like the shape a lot, so not a total loss.

I would like to learn more about makers marks. Maybe you could answer me these questions:

1. When did they use an "Artemisia" leaf as (part of the) mark?

2. I have recently seen a teapot with the "Fang Yuan" logo engraved next to the makers mark. Was this ever done in the state owned factories?

2.
“ Factory pot small class

In the era of the factory pot, the green ticket, square ticket and laser ticket are generally seen on the label.

If you see a square label on the pot like in the picture, it is generally a privatized approach (after 1997)

A careful comparison of mud and kiln burning, the pots after the privatization and the pots in the factory period are clearly different

The factory pots generally recognized by the player group are before 1997 (in the state-run period), so the square card after privatization has basically nothing to do with the factory pots in the state-run period”

I attached new photos of the 80cc teapot to this post. The pictures 1.jpg and 2.jpg are pretty much leveled this time.

That pot has some weird things going on. Don’t think it’s authentic.

Seems to be manufactured by the Factory 1 at the ending period of 1970’s according to two members of the Facebook group.
This definitely made my day.

Good for you! Maybe that’s what through me off, I’m more familiar with the earlier stuff, once it goes towards 80s I get lost...

That's surprising, I thought that they would look more reddish. Do you know if it is allowed to post this teapot in the Facebook group? They have a new rule since December, which I do not understand. Is this pot from the "diversified/decorated" series? It's a real bummer, since most of my teapots are decorated.
