This pot had been on eBay recently. The teapot looks like F1 to me. Have you seen this box before? How old is this pot? The factory one boxes I know look different.

And this is another interesting teapot from eBay. It was sold twice, so maybe there is something wrong with it. I would love to hear your opinions on it. It has the same strange color on the rim of the lid as my top handle teapot. If I remember correctly, you said that my teapot would be made of NZWH clay.

@Mark-S

I remember seeing a blog post about this specific shape and box combo being an export to SEA in the 80’s or 90’s.

Interesting, I searched for about an hour and did not find anything. :roll: Thanks!

And what do you think of the other pot? Is it neiziwaihong? Or how do you explain the color of the rim?

Looks like stains from tea and water.

You think so? To me it looked a lot like the lid of my teapot, but it is hard to take a similar picture of it.

@Mark-S could just be a slow sanding effect of the lid against the body.

I think it might have been on a Chinese language site.

The xian piao doesn’t look nzwh to me. Pot seems a bit weird

@Chadrinkincat I think many useful sites are in Chinese. Unfortunately, I only speak Google Translator Chinese. ;)

My newest aquisition 8-) The craftsmanship is not perfect, but the design is very beautiful in my opinion. Could be F1, but I am not sure.

@Mark-S

Could be legit 90’s period. Quite a few examples on this FB group for comparison.

I found this Facebook post too, and one of the members said that there are many decent imitations of this teapot. These points let me question its authenticity:

1. The craftsmanship is good but also not perfect. There is a dent on one side, and the shape is not symmetrically. The design is not that simple though.

2. There are only 2 seals on my pot.

3. Every teapot of this design I could find online was not part of a set.

How's the inside look like? The bottom, and the side walls, where the spout and the handle is.
