Having a go with the real deal.... sharing some exhilarating moments with a legendary piece. One of the very few that was ever made by Master Wang Yin-Xian 汪寅仙.
You mean one like this?

That sure is a beautiful teapot, with lines both pure and simple yet something inherently complex, feeling a bit like a Moebius ring.

A buddy that lets you actually touch that teapot is a true buddy! You surely are worthy of the trust, but my heart skips a beat every time I look at the pictures where you hold it in the air.

What have your best tea pairings been with it?

well part of my interest is that this pot is in the EU and I've been having some bad experiences lately with overseas buying.

also this pot is me testing the waters and is 100 euros, the cheapest pots here are around 250 with most being between 400- 1K+.
I believe Yanni ships via DHL across the board. At least she did when I ordered. I have received several packages, shipped via DHL, with no problem during this time. Just a thought.

Chanting Pines might have a deal going, but they don't offer free DHL shipping

My recommendation would be test the waters with reputable, reliable sources. You are bound to have a much better experience that way, instead of taking a gamble. Saving an extra ~$150 could serve you well.

Keep us posted, and remember the right teapot will find you.

I have a CP pot and Yanni pot, though I paid much more for my Yanni pot the craftsmanship is far better. its a good go to for a modern pot.

Thanks for the approval @OCTO!!

Nice picture @Chadrinkincat, looking good. Wood fired, stone ground zini should be a bit muting initially but mid-aged sheng should be a very good fit. This pot is not low-fired so it should pick up some nice patina with use.

This pot is definitely going to see plenty of use so I’m not too worried. I’ll add more photos once it starts to show signs of use.

@OCTO, this new avatar pot of yours, i see that it has three nozzles for the spout (not to mention the tasty looking clay). Does it produce three separate jets when pouring? As a stretch goal - can you fill three cups at once with it? :D
