@nohwonder
That’s a bummer to hear about damaged handle. The same thing happened with a pot I bought from them.

Imho $280 is kinda a lot for a small green label zini sp. Id recommend waiting for them to restock more early and mid-70’s hongni pots ($500ish) instead of getting another green label replacement.

Haha, that one went right over my head. Whoosh, I guess :)

And congrats. Do let us know what you end up pairing it with and how it performs (unless I am mistaken, this is not your first ROC pot?)

The one I got is mid 70's, pre green label. But yeah I see what you're saying, it looks like the only other pots around that price range are green label.

I just assumed it was late 70’s. I’ve been itching to get a 60-mid 70’s zini pot but it seems they are rarely available.

I thought I read on Dr Lu’s FB group that F1 didn’t produce small(-100ml) zini sp until late 70’s but that might of been incorrect info.

Well I'm far from an expert on the matter, but ZAG claimed that this one was from the mid 70's, before the green label period.

Bummer. Hope they have more ROC pots coming, and that a julunzhu is among what they release next (not that I am thinking of picking up one myself)

Pots from TWL are so hard to resist with that price point for western tea drinkers like you and I, you are not alone ;)

@DailyTX

I was seriously considering a LQER hongni pot from ZAG until this chubby guy popped up on TWL. It feels like a bargain in comparison even though it wasn’t cheap.

Have you snagged one yet?

@Chadrinkincat I was staring at their page like every day but resisted. Though I did talk to emmett about a 60's or 70's hongni(high fired).

I got some pots from my grandfather a while ago, and never got to posting them here or on Teachat to date them. I know that they're at least from the 80s/90s, but I'd some experts to weigh in. What kind of clay is the super dark zini? It's also got some pretty funky spout/handle misalignment and a weird-looking knob on the lid.

I was about to pick a LQER zini from ZAG. I ended up adopting 2 pots from TWL, one per batch along with teas. I still want a LQER zhuni pot to fulfill my list, then I’ll be good for a long time :lol: I’ll patiently wait for a zhuni pot with a good shape and bargain price to entertain my zisha curiosity. I drink mostly puerh, I am content with my setup.
