Not that great at taking photos, but here's a Late Qing / Early ROC zhuni. Got this little pot from ZAG a while back. Around 60ml. Can't seem to get a great shot of the seal haha.

Lots of imperfections from shrinkage in the kiln, but no damage. The lid hole is slightly too small (I've run into this problem on other pots), so I have to be careful not to fill it entirely full, and when pouring I usually lift the lid slightly with my forefinger to break the seal and increase flow rate.

Yeah, I keep an eye on ZAG's antique section, for better or worse they seem to focus on these old zhuni pots. Luckily @Bok seems to be balancing that with his more affordable zisha/zini/etc offerings.

I use this pot for yancha. The minerality/aftertaste comes through strongly and clearly, and (after some practice) the pot handles well and decants quickly.

Would a 90s F1 Zini be a no go as far as additives go?

Interior of lid looks a bit weird but otherwise it does seem like a green label pot. I’ve have one w/ slightly different duanni that I use for aged oolong. the downside to this shape is that I needs to be under filled due to drips. Love the shape and clay though.

I finally had time to clean the teapot. What I find weird for a non-standard F1 pot is that it has some flaws on the inside. My Zini pots do not have excess clay, tool marks or other flaws on the inside. Is this common for Duanni pots? Does your pot have these flaws too? It has a rather dull sound btw.

If the teapot looks and smells normal I would not have a problem with it. However, late 70s to early 80s F1 Zini pots are not expensive. (If you have not bought it yet.)

Those internal flaws seem normal.

@Mark-S it might also be a F2 or outside factory teapot. F2 is often a bit less well executed than F1.

Edit: This might not be early 80s. Just editing to avoid this post causing any confusion.

Edit 2: As Bok suggested, I posted this pot on the Facebook Early Teapots group. Initial response indicates this should be a Green Label pot. A relief for me, and updating here to further avoid confusion for anyone who sees this post in the future.

I am not 100% sure, but the overall shape look a bit younger than that. But I might be wrong, this period is not my forte... I'd post it in the FB group.
