Is your Benshan LvNi pot from Yinchen or is it from another source?

Looks awesome! :D

Could you take a close up of the clay? :D
I’ll try to take some more shots tomorrow when there’s more light.

How’s it look from these shots?

Beautiful. Clay looks similar to the diamond grade that CP sells. What's the capacity of the pot?

100ml.

It may or may not be same as what Chanting Pines calls “Diamond Grade”, but not sure. All I know is that Master Zhou calls it his highest grade of zini and charges a price tag to match. Supposedly it is 20+ years old.

The article said a lot of pots with yixing China stamp were imported to Taiwan in the 80s until the government came out with a ban. 1985 afterward, the stamp on the bottom was replaced with name of the artist. Anyone heard of this before?
I belive this is why the green label "made in china" was created, so that it could be easy to peeled off when exported to Taiwan, and why the mengchen seal was reintroduced and existed in parallel to the zhongguo seal.
Sorry about the confusion, I think the article I read was after green sticker period, which pots had either zhongguo yixing and mengchen seals. After 1985, the seals were changed to the artist’s name. What surprised me was the divide for pots made before and after 1985.

Hopefully, it's worth the money. Looks promising to me but I know nothing about antiques. What do you say?

yeah...not much financial value for this pot, and definitely not worth sending it in to a specialist for repair. Since the pot worth a few cups of coffee, even if I break the pot during the self repair process, my wallet won't feel the pain :D
Talking about the repair, the holes are quite interest. From what I can imagine, it seems when the maker was making the 6 holes filter, the tool went too deep and stabbed the surface where the sprout and the bottom connects, and it left 2 bumps after firing. After long time usage, the surface of the bumps slowly wear out and became 2 tiny holes. However, this still doesn't make sense because modern artist typically drill the filter holes prior to installing the sprout. Unless installing the sprout then drill filter holes was a practice back in the days :?
Could you snap a shot of it? Sounds like it would be an easy repair, relatively idiot-proof

Wow! That’s the first time I see something like this! Also sloppy arrangement of the holes. But as we said, easy to fix!

Don’t know where to start... basically everything is off. General shape, proportions, clay, spout, handle, seal, lid, workmanship. Not one detail seems right for it to be and antique.

Or the other way round: why would it be an antique?

@Bok

I trust you with your opinion, but I would like to learn why you think that this is clearly a fake. For example, what's obviously wrong with the spout and handle? The spout and handle look similar on this teapot:

@Mark-S that pot is also clearly not old... to learn you need to have a look at confirmed antiques. The web is full of items labelled antique, while they are not.
