What will be important to identify it, is a level profile shot from the sides.

Something on the inside lid makes me doubt 70s but it could be the pictures.

The seller told me that the teapot would be from the 19th century, but this is probably bs. I am happy with this purchase, because these small sizes are very hard to find in Europe and the clay seems fine.
Not probably, for sure this is not 19th century. I’d be worried what else is wrong with this pot if the seller lies that much abbot the age already...

Interior lid does look a bit weird to me too. Lid skirt seems oddly constructed

Yeah, I do not think that he knew what he was selling. Some people here think that these teapots are made for dollhouses because of the size. :lol:

Maybe they had to make it different because of the special size? I can also show you more pictures of the lid next week if you tell me what angle or distance would help to identify this teapot better. I could also take some macro shots of the clay.

I would like to learn more about makers marks. Maybe you could answer me these questions:

1. When did they use an "Artemisia" leaf as (part of the) mark?

2. I have recently seen a teapot with the "Fang Yuan" logo engraved next to the makers mark. Was this ever done in the state owned factories?

Odd timing that this Indonesian pot popped up for sale while this seal is being discussed.

Indeed. Somehow I find these pots charming in a way.

Very clear from the pictures of this one that they are either wheel thrown or coated like a Neizhiwaihong (see details of bottom side).
Final selling price was $8.50😂

I’ve definitely purchased a few green label dollhouse/children’s teapots.

The 30-40ml pots have a tendency to be somewhat irregular compared to the larger pots. Hard to tell from those pictures exactly how your but looks.

Not sure if you’ve already looked through this group yet but you can type in 40cc or 2 to see if details look similar. https://www.facebook.com/groups/teapot2/?ref=share

No, I have not. I did not know that there is a search - thanks.

New information about the teapot:

The weight is 75g and the volume is about 80ml. I did not think that so much water would fit into this small sized teapot. :lol: I will show you more pictures, especially of the lid, on Thursday.

What do you think of the sticker on the left? It is more glossy and the copyright symbol is bigger. The sticker on the right is genuine in my opinion. Hopefully it is not a fake, because I own two teapots with this sticker. :roll:

@Mark-S have a look at this thread: https://www.teachat.com/viewtopic.php?f ... 0&start=15

From what I gather there, it seems to me that yours(left) is indeed fake... but to be sure I’d post it on the early pots Facebook group.

There are many variations of this sticker, so it is hard to see if it is fake or not. I will post it in the Facebook group.

Update: Fuck, it is fake. :(

@Mark-S

F1 stickers are normally a light tangerine to darker orange color but never red. The thickness of lines along with size and placement of R are wrong on your sticker too.

Thanks for the clarification. :) Fortunately, the yellowish sticker (from a steam cooking pot) is most likely genuine. I will use it as a reference for further purchases.

Btw.: I found your Instagram profile coincidentally on Google. Very nice teapots you got there! Especially the early 80's jade orchid six sided teapot. I found this one on eBay, but unfortunately, I was outbid. :( (If you ever want to sell or swap this... ;) )
