One (moody) guy only
Seems to me that his pots are all genuine.

Also doing a good thing, people in HK can do with some support, hard times there...

Are you the same Bok from instagram? If so you and I just had a lovely chat about that ROC pot of yours. Absolutely made my night, even if I didn't end up buying.

@karma
Agree w/ BOK on his pots. He offers some harder to find pots.

You see some collectors spend a lot of money on antiques, but usually they don't drink tea.
interesting. i've never heard of these teaware collectors that don't drink tea. i think they're missing out!
These are the traditional antique-collectors; they have their own infrastructure a bit like art-collectors. They are the people bidding on Christie's Yixing pot collections: https://www.christies.com/yixing/

mbanu,
Thanks for the link. The two videos were enjoyable to watch, especially the Hopper Chop Suey painting, with the lone yixing pot on the table. I hadn't noticed it in detail before. Not just interesting an American artist would depict it, but a fascinating history of yixing's place in Western culture.

(#12 deals with the Hopper painting:

Agree with @Bok... Pots appear authentic and price is about right in relations to his grading scale. Good quality grade A clay with good workmanship without any defects are never cheap but always a joy to own and use.

Cheers!

I bought one 70s HQSN of grade C from him and I really love it. Previously I thought the stuff about 70s clay is mostly bullshit, but I'm a believer now. Shipping, packing and communication were very good and quick too.

Hi, I’ve read quite a bit on this forum and I know ZAG is recommended but the site is not secure. Does anyone know if it has always been that way?

I have been hunting for a new pot and ZAG definitely has the most comprehensive collection I have seen (on sites I can navigate) but being non-secure has me hesitant. I know you don’t input credit card info there, but still...

I assume (but can't remember) that it's always been that way. I don't think it's a particularly 'modern' website.

I've had no issues with them. They're not cheap, but that's to be expected. Be mindful of things like taxes and duties relevant to your location as well.

That said, I've only ever dealt with them by email, using the website to see what they have. I suggest doing the same, even if your pot has a listed price.

(and by "new pot", I assume you mean "new old pot" - presumably, there are other places for brand-new pots, but they might have some too)

I don't know about the website but I purchased a pot in store there and they are legit, so I would not hesitate to deal with them, be it via email or whatever if you are not travelling to SG any time soon.

Definitely legitimate, just a case of an outdated website. Remember pot collecting is in an old man's game in Asia
