I can only imagine...
I don't know why but I have a thing for lids that have writing on them, just like this one. It's like a secret message. Does the practice have a name or is there something particular to it?

Ok this is what I was wondering. So some would not be considered "lao zhuni" or "lao duanni" but this is not because it is a different clay. Thank you for the detailed answer @Youzi. I guess this transitions into what I was gna post about next, which is my most recent pot acquisition. These names are used to refer to a specific look and feel of the finished teapot and doesn't relate to any specific ore.
My first foray into pre factory antique pots. An LQER zhuni, biandeng like shape, 90ml.
Now, my understanding is that not all zhuni has the famed wrinkles, are the wrinkles one the physical appearance factors in calling something "lao zhuni"?

@Teachronicles nice pot! Doesn’t have to have wrinkles at all. Of all my antique Zhuni, none has wrinkles. If it has them it helps authenticate, if it doesn’t, it does not mean it’s not Zhuni
How does the inside of that pot look?

They posted it around New Years if I remember correctly. No need for inside pictures then, if it’s from them it’s real. Congratulations!
How much was it? If I may ask?Teachronicles wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 10:25 amIt's got some tea in it, I'll take a pic once I'm done with this session. sporad I got it from zisha art gallery.
