I recently picked up this aesthetic tea set for decor rather than use. My initial impression was it's probably glazed ceramic, something people can get from taobao. Upon further examination of the studio where this set was from, it seems to be an art studio from SuZhou, China. The Ebay seller disclosed that they got it from Shanghai, and then I was intrigued by how a SuZhou product landed in Shanghai. The product arrived in a bamboo box, has the #44 written in pencil on the inside of the box (looks like how artist number their painting), and it came with the original tag marketing the company's products, which it was "innovation and advancing the art of yixing ware" in Chinese. The clay underneath the glaze looks like zisha. I wonder if any members have heard of this studio before? Here are a few photos
