Best I can tell there isn't a vendor discussion thread for Camellia Sinensis, the Canadian tea vendor. For those who aren't familiar the domain is camellia-sinensis.com.

I don't see them pop up in discussion here, but I've heard a few individual reports on reddit with positive experiences. I also have a personal friend who's become very happy with them after trying some of their sheng.

I just placed an order today for their Yongde Da Shan 2023 and 2022 puer cakes. I'm interested to see how good these are, because they are very affordable.

Just curious if anyone else had any good/bad experiences to report with this vendor?

I've never had their puerh or Chinese green tea, but their hongcha and oolongs are generally decent. I've really enjoyed their Mi Xiang Hong Cha and Feng Huang Hong Cha, and their roasted Dong Ding and Gui Fei are nice depending on the harvest. I also remember getting some nice gyokuro there a few years ago. I'd say they're a solid, relatively affordable all-purpose vendor for Canadian customers.

I've had some time to form and opinion of the tea I ordered. These puer cakes are fantastic for the money. I tend to like the taste of young sheng more than aged, so the 2023 cake was the favorite. The 2022 has already transformed quite a bit. It's flavors are turning deep and earthy much quicker than I'd expect. Both are very good, especially considering how cheap they were. I'm very interested in the next edition of this cake and will likely purchase once it becomes available.
