Hello, looking to order some high quality Taiwanese teas. I’ve already tried Taiwan tea craft and Taiwan sourcing, good options. Favorite is Taiwan tea Crafts tea but their customer service it’s alright. Any other options out there? Budget is not a problem.

There are lots of Taiwanese tea vendors out there. I've had good experiences with @Bok and @Ethan Kurland here on TeaForum, both of whom sell high-quality oolongs with minimal astringency. I've also had good luck with Wang Family Tea, and have particularly enjoyed their Shanlinxi oolongs. Tillerman Tea and Floating Leaves are also solid vendors. Tea Masters is consistently cited for their higher-end offerings, though I haven't bought from them.

Depending on your location there are several high quality Taiwan tea vendors here in North America, in EU, and in Taiwan that I can recommend and frequent. @Teafortea if you share your location that will help in narrowing down replies. Or maybe you are looking for vendors situated only in Taiwan? In addition to vendors already mentioned here, in Taiwan I buy roasted Dong Ding and other of his special roasts from a farmer roaster Hau Yin Chen, in USA @Tillerman Tillerman Tea, in EU Die Kunst Des Tees has very good Taiwan selection as well. You might look at our Oolong Vendor forum and do a search of Taiwan teas you are specifically interested in.

Try Maison de trois Thés in Paris. Run by a Taiwanese lady and credited with making the French acquainted with high quality teas.

Of course you’ll know better to avoid the likes of Mariages Frère, Kusmi tea and so fourth…

Palais de the of Mr Delmas is ok I guess, but I think they are more specialised in Darjeeling and other teas.

Anmo Art cha out of Germany has some interesting Taiwanese teas recently, maybe that’s another option.

Thanks, I did not know about the Maison des 3 Thes, I saw they did not have a web. Oh well, Paris is only an hour away. From Mariage frere all I have is the empty tin from my first day of encounter with the tea LOL. Totally agree on Palais also. I wrote to Hau Ying Chen yesterday to ask him about the list of teas. And looking at Tea Masters now will keep you posted on what I come up with.

Just got into Taiwanese oolongs earlier this year. I'm in the EU as well. So far, I've ordered Taiwanese teas from TTC (6 kinds) and Tea-Masters (11) in TW, from Hojo (5) and Sazen (2) in Japan, and from darjeeling.cz a.k.a. Klasek Tea in Prague (2). My next TW tea order will be either from Tea-Masters (actually ordered twice already) or Hojo or somewhere new. All teas that stayed in my mind came from T-M or Hojo. Probably not the place to go for TW tea, but if I purchase Japanese tea/teaware from Sazen, I might add some again. My TTC packet smelled very off-putting (seemed to come from the print on the tea pouches) and some of the tea made me feel weird while none was to my taste. Maybe I was unlucky and/or primed. Klasek was drinkable but surpassed by the others (though only sampled two of their Taiwanese teas, a Dong Ding and their Da Yu Ling).

Hojo has stellar teas across the bank, his traditional Dongding was very good.

thank you for your input. I am very sensitive to pesticides and yes, there are some teas I have ordered from some vendors that I am not touching again. I almost have my tea master order ready, will give them a try. In Japan I usually order from The du Japon, been very happy with them. How do I order from Hojo tea? I could not figure out his website?

It’s a pain to order from him, need to pester him with emails as far as I know. The teas I had were gifts.

Ha ok! I had sent an email some days ago and no answer yet. TTC is the same, so hard to get your emails answered but at least my package arrived in one week with DHL. Taiwan sourcing has been the best so far in communication. Some years ago I had a friend bring me some tea from Taiwan. Trying so bad to have the same kind of freshness in my life lol. They were absolutely the best!
