I had a great tea I used to by from a local shop where I used to live called Nai Xiang. I've been trying to find it since I moved, but can't. Looking online, it seems that it may also be called Milk Oolong or Jin Xuan. Are these all the same? Where is the best place to order it?

yes jin xuan is a cultivar often processed into green (lightly oxidized) oolong in taiwan especially. it's sometimes called milk oolong. i'd look at vendors that specialize in taiwanese tea. here's a few to get you started: taiwanteacrafts.com, taiwanoolongs.com, beautifultaiwantea.com

Wow this is a fantastic resource! Thanks for posting. I did a dead link check as well and there's only 4 dead ones. Some weird redirects but that can be expected. I'm always looking for great vendors so i'll be using this for sure.

Welcome. Where are you located? If in the US, I can recommend Té Company in NYC, they have a very good Taiwanese Tieguanyin called ‘Iron Goddess‘. All the oolong I’ve gotten from them has been high quality. In Europe I can recommend die Kunst des Tees she carries very good Taiwanese and Chinese oolong and has an Anxi Tieguanyin.

Has someone purchased Taiwanese Oolongs from mudandleaves? So far I’ve had only experience with their tea hardware and never ordered any tea from them. I did browse their website yesterday and found that they seem to carry some higher end Taiwanese Oolongs. I am talking specifically these two, which for my budget are higher end:

For a bit of humor: How can anyone have drunk a pre-ordered tea?

I cannot comment on Mud and Leaves teas. I could be called a competitor (if one is being kind to consider the tiny amount of tea that I sell makes me so); &, I have not tasted the dayuling of any vendor besides my own. I will say that some dayuling from late in the Spring of 2020 is really excellent. (I have been enjoying it myself for 11 months & am down to my last packet so hope there is some gaoshan of that quality available out of this 2021 Spring.

As a consumer when I started paying more per gram for tea than I had ever imagined paying, I decided I needed a policy. My limit became & remains US$1 per gram. As a vendor, it is also the highest price I will set (because it seems hypocritical to ask for more than I would pay myself); &, I often ask for a tiny bit less to adjust for shipping charges.

Anyway, I should not talk about me, but you. You might do well to know what your budget constraints really are.

For another bit of humor, but it is also true that I would love to have a home to visit in Zurich if I have ever come into some serious $ and get around the world again. I actually love the city (a lot because I love rich food & found wonderful places to eat there that I could afford on vacation's enlarged budget); so, you can buy that last packet but only if you agree that is an old American ever can make it your way, you have a couch or bed for him for a few nights.

The experience was so bad that I dont ever intend to purchase tea from them again. They seem to have partnered with some tea company in taiwan, though, having asked some people from taiwan, no one seems to have heard of this company

Want to emphasize that I do like their porcelain, though they do seem to be a bit expensive for what they are.
