What are the most trusted puerh vendors right now? As in, if it’s marketed as a 1990 DaYi 7542....that’s really what you’re getting?

Have anyone tried Global tea hut? Specifically their 8582, 7542, 7532 or big green mark?

I guess i wanted to add another really good puerh vendor here. I find Teas We Like to have a great puerh tea offering. I find them to be a top 3 vendor when it comes to puerh.

Guess i didn't have to even whisper for the new year to come along with changes, and i promise i'll cherish however they'll come, but i'm a bit puzzled nonetheless. Seems like my beloved supplier of lovely (or lively? ) young-ish Yiwu shens, Tea Urchin is hard to reach out to (i'm still holding my breath and an order though). I wonder if you might know of somebody worthy of attention? Still hope i'll get at least couple more cakes of their snake blend

Guess i'm a bit spoiled by the popular whirlwind pace. Just relaxing and giving them some time works just fine Pardon me the noise.

I am new here but I have been drinking teas for more than 10 years. I have never tasted a good Puer from Yunnan Sourcing. 7 years ago, I bought samples from them I didn't like any of their teas. Last month, I bought higher end samples but they all tasted mediocre. This also include their expensive 2017 Spring Bing Dao.

I also bought some sample from Bana teas and they too tasted mediocre.

My main source of puers now is from Hojo. It is a pain to buy teas from him (took forever for his reply) but his teas are good...and I really feel connected to his teas from his elaborate articles

When I started, I went through dozens of YS young sheng teas. They all sort of tasted the same. I learned that I am not a young sheng fan and don't have the knowledge to buy young teas for aging.

I dug into some early 2000's teas and actually found a few really nice ones. They were usually in $200-$300 price range. I find his stuff to be fairly priced.

It's just so much work to shift through YS's extensive wharehouse.
I now order from Teas we like and Emmet YQH. I've been pleased to very happy with all those purchases. I think the curated vendors are the way to go and these two are very transparent. If I want good aged tea, its gonna cost money.

I purchased some puers teas from Wistaria 2 wks ago (https://www.wistariateahouse.com/mainss ... /index.php). They were in the process of moving their computer to another place so my order got delayed. In response, they sent me five 25gm samples of their best puers for free (125gm total!). I didn't even ask for them. They even sent me a wish card. Talking about great customer service!!! I have never experienced anything like this before. I am going to buy a few cakes just for that type of services alone. The two girls working there, Ms. Wei Lin and Ms. Liu, are the nicest people that I have ever encountered. I love Taiwanese people's hospitality and generosity.

I would like to mention a vendor based in Europe, Slovakia to be exact.

Peter is one of the greatest guys I've met so far in terms of tea. He's reliable, trustful, very friendly and he has a great understanding of Pu-Erh tea. A more minimal approach to it, which I like a lot.
Most important: he sells great teas. Imho, his assortment of sheng Pu-Erh is one of the best you'll be able to find in Europe.

Lately he also sourced some great aged shengs in Taipeh, which are by far the best ones I've tried yet.

Just had some Bana Tea Company Limited Edition Raw Pu-erh Tea(2008/Jinggu), it was really good. It didn't smell like fish or worse taste like fish. It was a very easy drinking tea, so much so I forgot I was drinking puerh. I look forward to running through the entire sample pack I got from them.

Hi, I drank puerh with my dad when I was a kid, now I am thinking of picking up puerh tea again.
However I have no idea where to get good quality puerh tea, can someone please recommend some online sites where I can order some samples to start with? Also, any good tea dealer in america online that has good quality puerh tea leaf, I am not sure how long it takes if buying from china now.

Exactly! He is one of the few specialised puerh shops in Europe. He has a decent selection of sheng puerh and also offers samples of every tea, which makes it ideal to try some before buying a full cake. Occasionally, he also offers some puerh sample packs that include a variety of age, region, storage, ...

Another one of my favourite puerh shops in Europe is ANMO in Dusseldorf. They sell some pretty stellar teas, in my opinion. Less focused on young sheng and more on semi-aged and aged (if you visit their shop).
