In my knowledge ( we were told by our shipping company manager ) , the EMS ( e-packed / e-express ) doesn't give any discounts to anybody anymore , we all ( vendors in Kunming ) pay same price which stated on their official DB ( website accessible to vendors who ship via EMS ) .
We do not make any extra money on shipping ( which is already expensive ) , we only add 5% Paypal fee which is automatically taken off from the transaction so we don't even receive it.
When pandemic started , the sort of Covid fee was introduced by EMS company . On some countries it could be up to 12$ / parcel. Now the fee is not applied anymore, but some countries raised general price.
The most fair comparing of shipping fee is to order from different vendors at the same time ( same shipping method ) and then weight the actual unpacked boxes , then compare weight per gram.
To find the best ( for customer ) shipping fee of course is to order some similar type of tea ( loose / pressed ) and compare how parcel is packed and the shipping fee in total.
Like order 357g cake from vendor A and B and see how it arrives as the weigh with packaging , shipping fee price.

We have padded envelopes , which are very light , but for some tea cakes I do not feel confident to use so.
We would love to offer cheaper shipping fee , but since we do not get any discount from the shipping company , I'd have to incorporate the $ into the products , which is the type of marketing we do not agree with ( as I describe on our blog ), because it creates a false impression of buying higher value products. Same as free shipping concept ( where the price is completely covered ) .

Brewing "Gongming Shan Hong Oolong" from yunnan craft
https://www.yunnancraft.com/en/yunnan-o ... grams-250g

It is hard to believe this tea costs this little. Beats yunnan Hong 2-3x more expensive sold by vendors like yunnan sourcing and eot in my opinion.

Some astringency in the stomach after some time. A bit warming - but probably not advisable on empty stomach

Second that. I tried a few of their Hongcha, all quite nice and clean tasting.

Young, cheap and from an autumn harvest...

Was it like drinking hemlock?

No

Surprisingly drinkable. The Chrysanthemum floral aroma stood out.

I received my box from @aet and it was packed like war rations. This I appreciate because customs mercilessly held me up for a couple months and the box was banged up :D. I've only tried a couple things so far:

Wuliang shan Sun Dried Hong Cha:
The tasty fruitiness that is characteristic of that region but with more maturity and depth. I could drink it everyday. The material was not only quite clean but beautiful.

Ailao Shan Dongfang Meiren:
As I opened the bag, the peachy and floral notes were bursting out the bag. This is not the sickeningly sweet bug bitten to hell OB that I've had early in my tea drinking days. This is soft, sweet, with a nice melody of peach, nectarine and bright floral notes. The liquor was thick and quite a comforting tea. I regret not getting more

Tengchong High Mountain Oolong:
The description undersells how good this tea is. It tastes like granny smith apple skin, quite sweet with a nice crispness. I made the wise decision to get plenty samples of this. :D

Dian Hong - Da Jin Zhen ( autumn ):
Yunnan golden needle black, reminds me of chocolate and strawberries. Very nice and on the decadent side :D

I have still to receive my first shipment from them (ordered a mere two weeks ago), and am really excited. I must say Alex has been extremely helpful in answering all my questions and guiding me. But what really spoke volumes about his integrity is that he discouraged me from buying more, and advised me to rather be patient and wait until I had tried out the first. He could have gotten twice as large a first order if he had wished, but nope, he would rather be a good guide. Imho, that's the kind of thing that pays back later, over time.

That was all I had to say for now, ahead of receiving the order.

A nice white - towards the more heavily oxidized side.
