TeaTotaling depends on the quality of your Hongcha. Real good one has a lot of aroma that you would not want to miss, so hongni, Zhuni, or porcelain is better.

Less good Hongcha with bitterness you might prefer Zini.

Yes, good Hongcha, no bitterness, unless I push the steep for a few minutes. Even then it's not necessarily undrinkable, just bold and strong. I'll try the Hongni out with some Hongcha tomorrow. On my quick, initial write up thinking through the teapot rotation, I did list the Hongni for Red Tea. I guess at that point it would really come down to which tea would cost more, and which one would I drink more. 80ml is nice and economical. I am still awaiting to receive a 50ml from Chanting Pines, that one has aged Oolong written all over it.

seems like not such a bad price to get to try something with a more traditional processing method and pinewood flavor without risking getting a totally gross farmer tea. I'm wondering how it stacks up though.

they seem to have had a few other options come and go including some more 80s and 90s options, unfortunately with even less information on than on the traditionally processed one above.

in case anyone is looking to make a pricier purchase in the next few day, I have a coupon code for 5% off (which can be quite a lot if you get a fancy pot!) that expires on the 5th I won't be using. I'm not totally sure but its worth a try to see if its transferable- message me and I'm happy to share it.

My dream is to buy a qing dyasty or Ming dyasty yxing pot from them as well as some Ming dynasty cups. I have some qing dynasty blue line cups from them (40ml) that I love but of course I need more lol

Nice pots. I have never heard from someone who did not receive an order from them, so track record seems fine. Do they have a phone nr or anything? Might try that if email does not work.

I have had them be a bit slow at responding sometimes, but never had a problem not getting anything from them.
