TeaTotaling depends on the quality of your Hongcha. Real good one has a lot of aroma that you would not want to miss, so hongni, Zhuni, or porcelain is better.

Less good Hongcha with bitterness you might prefer Zini.
Yes, good Hongcha, no bitterness, unless I push the steep for a few minutes. Even then it's not necessarily undrinkable, just bold and strong. I'll try the Hongni out with some Hongcha tomorrow. On my quick, initial write up thinking through the teapot rotation, I did list the Hongni for Red Tea. I guess at that point it would really come down to which tea would cost more, and which one would I drink more. 80ml is nice and economical. I am still awaiting to receive a 50ml from Chanting Pines, that one has aged Oolong written all over it.

I use flat shapes all the time for rolled oolong, against popular opinion it works a treat :)
Curious about what kind and level of flat you use.
I am using mostly Biandeng shapes in different expressions of the style.

anyone happen to have tried this liu bao?- https://chantingpines.com/collections/l ... am-liu-bao

seems like not such a bad price to get to try something with a more traditional processing method and pinewood flavor without risking getting a totally gross farmer tea. I'm wondering how it stacks up though.

they seem to have had a few other options come and go including some more 80s and 90s options, unfortunately with even less information on than on the traditionally processed one above.

in case anyone is looking to make a pricier purchase in the next few day, I have a coupon code for 5% off (which can be quite a lot if you get a fancy pot!) that expires on the 5th I won't be using. I'm not totally sure but its worth a try to see if its transferable- message me and I'm happy to share it.

Ming dynasty pot??? That would be quite a feature if they can put one up for sale...

Most people who have one would rather sell their grandmother than such a rare thing.

I am new on this Forum.
I live in France.
I have ordered a teapot at ChantingPines 3 weeks ago. I have seen some members here also have teapots from this seller.
I am worried because I have no reply and no information from this seller since I made my order.
They absolutely never never answer any message (email ou Instagram).
Would you have any advice to help me contact this seller ?
Thank you.

Nice pots. I have never heard from someone who did not receive an order from them, so track record seems fine. Do they have a phone nr or anything? Might try that if email does not work.

I have had them be a bit slow at responding sometimes, but never had a problem not getting anything from them.
