Anyone ever have a shipment stuck in “Pre-Shipment” for over 2 weeks? Kunming EMS “7-15 Days” but still says Pre-Shipment when tracked with no activity, this is to the US by the way.

@Guy Juan
It happened to me before. Try another tracking site to see if there’s any update. The longest package from kunming I experienced was about a month including us custom wait time

In my experience, tracking parcels from China does not really work real time or even approximate. Same goes for shipping speed...

I ordered from another site the same time and received it over a week ago. Also EMS shipping. I have a feeling it’s lost :shock:

Put your tracking in on 17Track or Fara, sometimes they can pull stuff up from China shipping sources.

there is a new boss in Kunming customs and he returns a lot of parcels , more then the previous one. Also GZ or BJ customs returning parcels back to Kunming. We have to re-send it again. In that case with new tracking number. Sometimes happens that parcel is waiting to be loaded, also happens they forget it somewhere. 2 weeks without tracking sounds like they forgot ( not busy season now ) , so I'd ask the vendor to check it out for you. They can call to customer service and find out more than any tracking website provides.

@aet I might wait until Friday. When I emailed them after 8 days of “pre-shipment” status they said this method can take up to 20 days and there are no alerts to issues...although I paid $45 for “7-15 day” shipping and it’s been 15 days with no tracking updates.

Patience is your friend. I quite understand your frustration, but you can't really blame the vendor for problems during the shipment. Technically, i think, once they send it, it belongs to the buyer who bears the risks, unless specified otherwise. Anything beyond that comes as a courtesy of the seller.

I disagree. I think it is up to the seller to assure they are providing adequate shipping practices and assure the customer receives what they paid for. As far as I’m concerned, until it is in my hands there is no proof that the product was shipped in the first place. I believe many vendors follow this philosophy too.
