I’ll head on over there. Thanks for the tip tillerman!
Haven't had green from Tea Trekker, but can confirm that their Nepalese and Darjeeling are excellent. Was disappointed with their lower cost Lapsang, so I think the quality of the tea is reflected in the price.
So they all live in Phoenix
I don’t think they know each other, even though they are both in Phoenix. Have you ordered 1st flush Darjeeling this year yet? Any comments? A few people I know are looking for top quality 2019.
I am impressed by Tea Trekker’s full descriptions, lots of relevant information. Seems the Himalaya’s also experienced an unusually dry winter, as did Taiwan;
2019 Darjeeling Notes:
‘The continuing extreme drought conditions in the Himalaya have finally released their grip on agriculture in the region, so the Darjeeling 1st Flush early harvest was significantly improved in quality and volume this year.‘

Excuse my poor attempt at humor: fenghuang mtn = phoenix mtn
Yes, we got the 1st flush Glenburn Moonshine and another 1st flush darjeeling I forgot what. I don't drink enough red tea to comment on how it compares to other vintages, etc. (The teas are actually for my tea partner). He thought the moonshine tasted a bit like green oolong. Both teas are very smooth, easy to drink, nice flavor--typical of what we've come to expect from Tea Trekker. Not sure if this helps ...
Haha, I see the Phoenix connection now, too funny.
Another thought just occurred to me in regards to that Bilochun:
It is realistic to assume that if it retails in the West at this price, that the retail price in China itself would be around half of that, which would not even make it a premium priced tea to begin with…
