My father in law is a pilot. He knows I’m into tea, so he picked this up in China for me. It must be some kind of rolled oolong, but not like anything I’ve seen. The balls are huge. It smells like...well...pet food. Like rabbit or hamster pellets. I put one in water and it didn’t in roll. It kinda fell apart.
What do I have here?

Yes, a rolled oolong covered in a ginseng (ren shen) and licorice root powder giving it a sweetish taste.
