My local tea store sells this tea called Crimson Pearl. I have no idea what this is. It says it's a "deeply fermented" oolong tea, and that it's red in color. Although it's pretty easy to tell that it's been heavily oxidized, I still want to know where it's from before I make a purchase.
Can anyone help find what kind of tea this is?

What is "Crimson Pearl Oolong?"
Looks like a roasted Oolong from Taiwan. The name itself is a made-up English name, so it can be anything really, from Donding, Tieguanyin to Red-Oolong some sort of Hybrid Oolong processing that has popped up in recent years.ZigTheWiz wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 6:50 pmMy local tea store sells this tea called Crimson Pearl. If their flavour description is anything to go by, I'd say it hints to being a Tieguanyin sort of tea. But probably in processing only not Tieguanyin leaf cultivar, that one is hard to find now and very expensive.
