Currently drinking a fine 2016 xingren xiang dancong from Cindy Chen's husband's family. Fine nutty nose, rich mouth feel and pleasingly long and persistent finish. This is a very nice tea. Brewed in 140 ml yixing using a little more than 6 g. per 100 ml. Very short infusions.

Currently having Qingxin, from 90K Da Yu Ling - Tea Masters Blog.
Bleh, I'm having the rest of this in a gaiwan and it's a lot worse, do not recommend.
My hongni really makes magic happen.

Really? What kind of pot do you have?
I have tasted Gaoshan in some very high-quality pots and never felt that anything outdid a thin porcelain gaiwan.... (though I have other reasons to sometimes prefer a pot)
In fact, my best DYL sessions were in competition style 3g, 6mins in a small gaiwan

Cracked open my everyday high fire tgy from tealifehk this morning. I'm not good a describing tastes but I know it's roasty (but not too much so) and sweet. I liked it so much I just put in a big order of it. Good stuff.

Glad you like the tea! It is one of my favorite daily drinker TGYs at present and it was a surprise discovery from a vendor I've bought Wuyicha from for years! IMO it's an excellent example of a classic HK roast TGY, and economical enough that you could even grandpa it if you wanted to!

I'm realizing I've never gotten anything from your shop. I might have to.

Today I'm drinking some 2017 rou gui. I packed it in a "zhengyan rou gui" bag, but it is not. It is from the higher lands to the north east of tongmu. It never disappoints me but does demand my attention to bring out all it has.

I've checked out your site and might place an order with you too! :) Curious to see what your Wuyicha is like!

A very cold night is perfect to sip Lao Cong Shui Xian from Old Ways Tea. A very warm and relaxing mouthfeel follows the rocky aroma. The taste of the Wuyi mountains slowly develops and becomes clearer as I approach the fourth and fifth steep while the mouthfeel becomes gentler and very pleasing....

Thin modern hongni

I'm finishing up 93K Dayuling, just for fun I did it competition style vs my dedicated hongni and even my non-tea bf preferred the tea made in hongni.

I think porcelain just emphasizes the higher notes while a pot gives you a fuller body...

To be fair, I do not own any high end porcelain. But I can't imagine it being better than what my pot makes, as I do not like very high pitched high notes.

I’m drinking Wenshan Baozhong. My friend started a tea company as a side hobby and this is a sample he gave me.

The tea has a nutty flavor profile that I haven’t yet found in other Baozhongs. I’m happy he gave it to me!
