I tried a spring and a fall picking. The spring one was good, the fall was just ok.

I agree with EVERYTHING @Bok has written in his comment; both about the tea and about CKS. I'd just remove the doubt.

We are vulnerable. We can be effected by stories that we may deserve to be ignored. For, we know:

It is not a fact that any product used by a world leader, celebrity, billionaire, etc., is the best. It is not a fact that a fancy tin contains the best ingredients. It is not a fact that adjectives that end in "est" make the product they describe, the best (such as tea from the highest farm with the fewest kilograms available to the public).

I sampled the "highest" grade of foushoushan & one grade lower which was much lower in price for 3 seasons. 2 times, I bought the next-to-best FSS. I've sold some not contained in a tin & not coming with a story. I think as I do, those who drink that FSS, find it similar in quality to dayuling; though, of course, there are slight differences.

One should buy the affordable FSS once, if concerned that something special is being missed. The likely result is no regret because the tea is excellent & does not cost much more than DYL which in the future will suffice for high-end gaoshan for future purchases for most people.

I was not talking about president tea nor 101k dayuling. I referred to fushoushan & dayuling in my inventory. (Other vendors may have real & good FSS & DYL also, but I don't know how their FSS & DYL prices compare to each other.) I thought that I had made an argument (which many people will ignore, of course) that buying tea w/ fame attached is usually a mistake including "president" & "101k".

(My current teas & prices are on my vendor thread's last page, a few posts up from the last post. I think FSS & DYL are close in price.)

For tea with a great reputation, it is quite easy for business concerns to outweigh concern for quality. Weather may make harvesting very late sensible but waiting for the ideal time may make getting that tea to market in time for holiday sales impossible. Famous tea in fancy tins are given around Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year. Even if such tea is not counterfeit, coming from the highest elevation of a famed mountain does not mean it is the best tea, if leaves were picked too early and/or processed too quickly.

How did you like the tea? As you maybe read elsewhere on this forum, FSS has some mixed reviews. Many love it, others (myself included) did find it disappointing. I had it three times(each a full 150grams pack), over a period of several years, never impressed me much. Not bad tea, just too expensive for what it is, compared to other high mountain tea I had.

I find the tea still consider good taste. This tea better store for 6 months to have better taste. There are one fss private farm it cost 4000 dollars per 600 gram. Overall fss tea is a good tea.
