I've never had a tea with such strong qi. Im not drinking it now, had it a while back. I drank one 60ml cup and I could feel the qi pulsing through my body, waves of it. My face was numb and there was an extreme calm that came over me. I laid down and vegged out for probably an hour or more, just enjoying the qi. It was a quasi religious experience and I've never had a tea like it since. Unfortunately, as is W2Ts MO there's very little info about the tea other than its a yiwu blend and that "This tier of tea rarely sees the light of day in the open market." Please share your experiences with this tea, any guesses as to its origin, or any other knowledge you have of the tea.

I thought I'd add, have you guys ever had a tea with similar qi, if you've tried the tea.

There are many areas of Yiwu that have outstanding qi. I haven't tasted the last thoughts from W2T but I am familiar with many terroirs in Yiwu, and I am regularly tea drunk as a result! :D

Id use a very low tea to water ratio maybe 2-3g for 60ml. Drink a cup or two and wait to see if it affects you. I quickly drank 3 to 4 infusions and was tea wasted.

It's good that the leaves were whole instead of the cheap chopped up material I've seen in every other other W2T cakes I've sampled.
I did not think this was anything super special, though I did like the first 3 infusions. It doesn't have a pleasant middle or end for me. Also I did not get tea drunk :D

It seems some people are more receptive to feeling cha qi, not sure why though. Considering the strong effect it had on Teachronicles, I'm going to assume this cake was made from old growth trees with deep roots.

That topic can be very complex, as there are also psychological aspect to it. Sometimes we experience things that we think should be there, but are not, kind of self-fulfilling prophecies and the like.

Something similar but in a completely different area I have seen that in the field of martial arts, when some people jump at the lightest touch of the supposed master, when others with no expectations or affiliation experience nothing.

Others are just genetically different, like people with the super taste, who can discern flavours others can not.

Tricky topic and in the end only the personal experience/enjoyment matters!

I'm gonna suggest this as a reason:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19897346

Catechins are likely to affect people in very different ways.
