I posted in our local tea group in Facebook about my experience with a shu bought from Yunnan Craft. Someone commented that there is no cloud in the tea soup. What does that phrase mean? Is it a good, or a bad thing?

Cloud in Tea Soup
Perhaps they are referring to the kind of 'tea mist', or 'cloud', that can appear on top of dark teas (especially very dark ones, like old or cooked puer).

But that 'cloud' is not a sign of good quality or bad quality - as far as I can recall, it is just a physical phenomenon which happens sometimes, and it is just a lot easier to see on a very dark tea like puer.
I think someone (possibly here) posted an article about how this is something like water droplets or water vapour suspended over the tea... Or something like that. But don't take my word for that, I just can't remember where I saw that, or what it said.

I think they are referring to the steam above the cup. It doesn't make a tea good or bad if it doesn't have it. More about enjoying the drink is the most important thing.
