A great idea suggested by @Victoria to start a thread used as a reference point for some famous Pu-erh out there in terms of the production year and appearances. This thread is best served by keeping it simple so I'm going to start with a short descriptions and pictures

7581
The Original 79 7581 - Noted by a flat bottom on the number "2" with a sharp tick in the end, and a handwritten ticket on the basket. Very Unique 1983 7581 - Knowns as the "Square 2" due to the use of squarer font used on the numbers on the packaging. Ticket on the basket moved to screen print. 1995 7581 - Another year with unique packaging true "mid 90s" identified by the use of brown paper wrapping. 1997 7581 - "1st Gen Laser" the first year when the laser label was introduced.

Some books are murky at best. And the reference year can seem off depending where the books are published which uses ROC calendars.
