A Serious Question About Bad Tea Feeling

Earlier this year, I tried a tea and it gave me a terrible feeling: A bad tea drunk. dizzy like being drunk on alcohol. It was a puerh that was quite young. I was wondering why it affected me this way and not others?
I took it up with the owner:
He said it could be many things like my health, lifestyle etc.
I was wondering what people here would think.
Has this happened to you?
Not trying to be rude and crude or anything, Other teas gave me a nice happy calm relaxed feeling

Hello, since this is about an experience with a Pu-erh, I think it will receive better attention under that forum. So I am moving it there.

YAVW!
Currently the forum is called Fermented Tea. I left a temporary "shadow" under your General Discussion forum topic that takes you to the Fermented Tea topic location ... but that will disappear. Then you will only be able to access it under Fermented Tea.

Good idea.
How about you? Have you had such an experience?

I once did a binge tea drinking session at a teahouse in Hong Kong. I was double fisting a PuEhr and an Oolong of some kind. After many many cups I started to get an unusual lightheaded buzzy tingly feeling from my head all the way to fingertips. It's the only time I ever experienced such a thing and I assume it was simply due to "too much" tea for my system to handle.
It wasn't pleasant, nor was it all that unpleasant exactly, it was just... strange.

I had it once with a black tea someone made himself at a DIY tea plantation experience. Absolutely unpleasant body sensation.
So it might be an indication that the tea is not made well, or, needs more rest before you can drink it!
Another I had a high mountain oolong which had too much fire, as they say here, gave it a rest for six months and it became much better!

I often feel that way from drinking young sheng on an empty stomach or consuming too much of it. Happens more frequently with factory/plantation stuff so might be related to quality of leaf and pesticides.

I think it needed rest

I would guess it would be pesticides and/or agrochemicals. I have had exactly the same kind of drunkness from many non-clean teas. Quite foggy feeling.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was due to pesticides as even when I drink strong young sheng on an empty stomach I just feel really hungry or a bit lightheaded.

While I support avoiding pesticides, it sounds more like an aggressive young sheng. Try the tea after a meal, and brew the leaves a little lighter.

I believe that it could be partly from your diet/lifestyle. Are you a smoker (of cigarettes)? Drinker booze or coffee? Too much caffeine could lead to some part of the issue you are having. It could be too much fluoride, I recommend implementing a herbal tisane of 1 tsp of Tamarind concentrate in 12oz or 16oz if it's too lemony for you, once a day or 4 times a week. Also get the appropriate amount of calcium in your diet. And drink plenty of water (at least 8oz/hr) except before meals or 20-40 min after meals.

Nope, never. Well actually once with the flowers from pu-erh plants.
I generally drink Japanese greens.
