Looking for the name of the chinese coin shape that some teas, Hei Cha? comes in. Trying to find some of these at either YS or Crimson, to buy and hand out as gifts. Haven't found anything on YS and not sure if searching by the term coin would find it or if there's another name I could try.

Yeah I saw those, but in a couple articles and videos I saw an ~ 6-8g coin shape wrapped in foil? form of the tea. Pretty sure the tea type was hei cha. Pretty much like in this image though the ones I've seen the center square is cut out.

These look festive when wrapped. It’s not clear if the coins themselves are decorative.

It's an interesting idea. I've tried versions of tea pressed into a coin-like shape but never anything as decorative as the one comment photo. A Google search turns up a related hei cha version but it wouldn't make it from Hong Kong in time for Christmas:

White 2 Tea sells plainer pu'er versions of this sort of thing, the kind of tea I've tried. I've also tried a gongting shu version pressed as a mini brick, more a very small tablet; that would also work. The decorative coin theme is nice though, especially if the tea was actually pleasant.

Thanks for all the responses. I didn't know I was getting any. I must have turned off watching threads somehow. I only get notified if someone quotes my post.
