Today I am sipping from Tea Encounter's second sample I bought: 2018 Ge Deng. An excellent young sheng which I am enjoying very much.

2010 Autumn Nan Nuo Shan sheng brick from YS. I keep coming back to this one for it's smooth brew, subtle camphor and mild hui gan. It's not much to look at, but easy to drink!

Chilling out with some Qizhong watching some College football on this snowy day inside. Not a bad day.

Just drank a 2017 Yiwu Gao Shan Maocha from KingTeaMall. It's really fruity and sweet in the beginning with touches of mild bitterness that somehow reminds me of hops from a Pale Ale. It is such a nice tea

Agreed. I don't normally enjoy young Yiwu, but this one responds rather well to being pushed. Consdering getting some more before it sells out.

About to revisit Lao Man E 2014 from Tea Urchin.

I was actually careful with it. I'll try to push it harder next time. And, you should! His teas are really good.

Agreed. He has done a good job sourcing them. I like the one with the wild tea in it.

Yesterday was 2016 Tuhao from W2T as part of my ongoing #waronsamples this month.
Maybe the first tea from them that I enjoyed, though it didn't last that long for me. (I push my young sheng a lot).

Overall I think the W2T house style just isn't for me. Granted I haven't tried their very top tier stuff, but at those prices I'd rather be buying something older, which I know I enjoy far more.

Today I am sipping Farmerleaf's 2018 Ao Ne Me ancient trees sheng sample. Another very drinkable and tasty tea from that house's 2018 production.

2018 Yunnan Sourcing "Xiang Chun Lin" Yi Wu Old Arbor sheng tea. Finishing off the sample of this excellent tea.

2013 ‘Fangyuan’ Bulang Gushu ((green)teaguru) (5g/80ml gaiwan)

Intensely fruity flavor of ripe white peaches/apricot with a more complex fruity aroma. Delicate kuwei with little astringency and somewhat dry, edgy mouthfeel; light but deep throatiness with a bit of huigan.
Thumbs up on the fruit but the structure leaves me wanting; I'll try one of my clay pots next time.

Today I am back to 2018 Jingmai Mang Guo sheng from Frmerleaf and its sweetness and smoothness.

2017 Jingmai gushu maocha from Farmerleaf.

Home sick with a bad head cold, so I had a thick session of 2006 Mengku Qiao Mu Wang. Even with my nose not working, I still love the mouth and body feel of that tea, warming and medicinal.

2009 Naka from LiquidProust: this is probably the most enjoyable $50 cake I’ve had in awhile. Hints of receding smoke, camphor/minty and pleasant bitterness. It’s definitely a bargain cake that I regret only buying 2 of.
