I haven't purchased from Den's tea in a while, so today when I was on their site I noticed that they've expanded their Fukamushi offerings. I've had their higher end Yame before and it's good, but now I see they have Matsuno and Chiran at the same price point. Has anyone tried them, and what do you think? Should I just buy all 3 and do a comparison myself?

Since Den’s is headquartered in Southern California this is a plus for USA members. I would be curious to try his Sencha Zuiko sounds very good. Interesting that his bag options are 56grams or 454g. Shipping is Very reasonable, and free after 50$.

Doesn’t say but from description and intact leaf it sounds like a Chumushi cha/Futsuumushi (medium steamed) , although Asamushi cha is common in Honyama, Shizuoka using Yabukita cultivar.

Since no one talked me out of it, I went ahead and ordered all three. Pedant or I will post a review once we've had a chance to try them.

What did you think of the Chiran? I just ordered that and also the Organic fukamushi. I had been ordering directly from overseas but with covid that pretty much got shut down due to shipping issues/ cost. This is my first order with Den’s. They were listed as a vendor by Tea Trekker which has shuttered it’s business and is switching to an info only site from what I hear.

I don't remember trying Den's Fukamushi sencha, because I've learned that I prefer Asamushi, but I have enjoyed Den's offerings in general. While I more often order from from O-Cha (especially their offerings from Tsuen) to supplement my Obubu tea farm subscription, I rely on Den's when stock is low between other shipments because it is local and very reliable.
