How long have you been drinking tea? I grew up on a ranch in Nebraska drinking copious amounts of sun tea my mother brewed. Does that count? :D The first time I drank loose leaf tea was in Tunisia. How to use Winter Chawan?

I was reading about chawans and came across the Tsutsu-jawan. How is this used? Do you whisk in the chawan itself or in a separate bowl and then pour in? It seems like it would be hard to whisk in such a tall narrow Chawan.
